Thank you for your question. Colors are very important in the Bible just as are other symbols that are used to allow the scriptures to interpret themselves. For example a mountain is symbolic of God’s church (Isa. 56:7, Dan. 9:16, 20, etc.). Colors have a symbolic meaning that conveys a meaning just like objects do. In the vision of Zechariah 6 we have specified brass mountains four sets of chariots and horses of four different colors. Each of those colors tells us something about the nature chariot (church) at a particular point in history. Red = blood of the martyrs, white = purity, black = spiritual darkness, grisled (mixed white and black) = hypocrisy. This is just one illustration of many found throughout the scriptures.
