Does the Spirit of Prophecy Contradict the Shepherd’s Rod?

by sighandcry on February 9, 2013

The enemies of Truth have always resorted to unethical tactics to avoid the plain teachings of the Bible and often take portions of scripture out of their proper context or pit one passage against another in an effort to make the Bible contradict itself. This underhanded method of study is the result of surface reading and failure to harmonize all that has been written on the subject. Such treacherous and fundamentally disingenuous methods of analysis have been used as weapons against the Shepherd’s Rod message ever since its inception in 1930. A common tactic was to attempt to pit the Spirit of Prophecy against the teachings of the Rod. The author of this message, Victor T. Houteff, faced these misleading attempts to side step the truth head on with sound logic and solid Bible reasoning on numerous occasions. Below is a convenient table which summarizes ten examples that were first publicized in the Symbolic Codes for your admonition and prayerful contemplation. The complete text for this compilation can be downloaded as a PDF by clicking here: Apparent Contradictions.

May God bless your sincere search for the truth and to hear both sides of the story before firing for or against.

Dear Evans: It would be contrary to the Bible and the original SRod for Davidians to establish their own churches separate from the mother church. Yes the Laodicean (SDA) church is the 7th and last of Revelation 2-3 comingled with wheat and tares. Thus DSDA’s are obliged to plea with their beloved brethren in the church until the purification despite being illegally caste out of the church they help establish. After purification will emerge an eighth church comprised of pure wheat, the 144,000 from the SDA and a Great Multitude that no man can number from the fallen churches constituting Babylon that will be called out during the Loud Cry. The vision in Zechariah 6 of the horses and chariots with the last chariot having two sets of leaders (SDA and DSDA) trying to take the chariot (church) in two different directions confirms that that there is not a separate church.

May God bless your search for Truth as for hidden treasure,
