Thank you for your keen observations and concern for how SDA’s are treating those with whom they disagree, most especially the Shepherd’s Rod. It makes you wonder, what are they so fearful of? The Truth! Lord have mercy upon us as a people. However as we look to the example of our beloved savior Christ Jesus and how He was treated with scorn and contempt then we can begin to gain a better understand how those who strive for Christ likeness in character will be treated.

I have asked myself this question too many times, why, why? I’ve come to realize that we will suffer and must suffer for truth for Christ and His disciples suffered. But I never in my wildest dreams thought that our brethren can be so hateful. Maybe it has been brewing in us for years. We as SDAs always thought ourselves better than any other Christians. We gossiped so much about their sin and failure to see the truth yet we were also following in their footsteps. The SROD is greatly hated by our denomination and I have never seen something like this cause entire churches tremble at the mention of it; their actions to me have proven without a doubt that this is true. We will pray for brother Patrick but I cannot expect anything else from our brethren but to decide that they are right and he is wrong so he is most likely to be mistreated and receive an unfair hearing. But with God all things are possible.
