We can understand your concern about this teaching on the alleged 2520 prophecy. This teaching was initially refuted by James White and Uriah Smith in the Review and Herald back in the 1870′s. Since this doctrine has resurfaced in recent years and been the result of much controversy it has necessitated a reexamination of its claims to confirm what the pioneers of the SDA church came to understand about this doctrine.
